Julie Johnson (She/Her)
Julie Johnson graduated with a Master's degree in Acupuncture from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2003. She's done extensive continuing education in Dr. Tan's Balance Method, she's an active member of The People's Organization of Community Acupuncture(POCA) and a certified NADA detox specialist. She founded the clinic in 2008 and has been busy needling 1000's of patients since then! When she's not working she's enjoying her family, which includes her husband and two sons.
Julia Holloway (She/Her)
Julia Holloway practices Five Element Acupuncture and is excited to join the Pin Cushion to bring her unique sensibility and powerful style of treatment to the community setting. Raised in Philadelphia, she studied Political Theater and abnormal Psychology at New York University and earned her masters of Acupuncture at the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville FL. When family life led her west in 2015, Julia left her private practice in New York City and landed in Seattle. She feels lucky to have settled in such a magical place and looks forward to getting to know all of you and serving this great community.
Christina Bachman M.S., LAc/EAMP (She/Her)
Christina is a trauma-informed acupuncturist, healer, and educator with over two decades of experience in East Asian medicine. She discovered acupuncture more than 30 years ago and was drawn to its rare ability to support healing of the body, mind, and spirit as an integrated whole. Christina earned her Master’s degree from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2000 and has since built a practice rooted in compassion, clinical skill, and community care.
Christina blends the energetic wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the clinical effectiveness of Dr. Tan’s Balance Method to support physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. She specializes in stress management, mental health support and pain treatment offering treatments grounded in presence and attunement. Deeply committed to accessible and culturally responsive care, Christina is currently pursuing a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, further integrating somatic and psychological approaches to whole-person healing.
JESSe GEE (THEY/THEM)
jesse joins the Pin Cushion team as an acupuncturist and herbalist. Originally from California, jesse started off training as a community midwife, where they were first introduced to the community (or centering) model of care. Though jesse did not become a professional midwife, they remain committed to the community model of care and support folks and families of all ages and stages of growth, transition, and milestones. jesse is a trained Chinese medicine doctor (MSAOM, DAc) and naturopathic primary care physician (ND), a community health educator and advocate (MPH), herbalist and medical botanist, researcher, writer, and artist. After many years studying and teaching at Bastyr University, jesse is now working primarily in community health settings to provide group visits. jess specializes in working with sex/gender diverse and neurodiverse folks of the global majority (QTiBIPOC), at the intersections of sexual, reproductive, and relational health. when jesse is not practicing medicine, they are playing, resting, parenting, partnering, stretching, grieving, loving, breathing, and drinking water.
Bruce Peters (He/Him)

Bruce Peters is a nationally certified practitioner of Oriental Medicine, holding professional licenses as an Acupuncturist in the states of California and Washington. He earned his Master of Science from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His clinical experience includes rounds at the ACTCM community clinic, ACTCM Auricular community clinic, Yue Yang Integrated Hospital in Shanghai, China. He managed and was Lead Acupuncturist at Shoreline Community Acupuncture before moving to The Pin Cushion and opening his Energy Clearing practice. Specialties: Bruce specializes in helping to bring emotional and spiritual balance to those who may have gotten slightly derailed in our modern high-stress society.
